ePresenter: Brian Phillips, PhD, CRC
This ethics webinar is a collaboration between the Center for Persons with Disabilities and the Department of Special Education and Rehabilitation Counseling at Utah State University.
We have all received our fair share of ethics trainings and workshops. It is commonly assumed in these trainings that if we know the right thing to do then we will do it. Yet, evidence clearly shows that knowing the right choice does not guarantee that we will choose it. The emerging field of behavioral ethics provides a wealth of insight about factors and conditions that lead to poor ethical decisions and how we can prevent it in our organizations and in our individual behavior. In other words, behavioral ethics is the science of helping good people be good. In this training I will identify describe some of the major pitfalls known to lead to choosing unethical behavior and proven techniques for acting ethically even in the face of pressures not to.
This webinar will provide you with a continuing education unit, not a CRCC. Please look out for live CRCC events in our training calendar.
