Join Lisa Wade as she discusses how there are a lot of parts and pieces that must come together for providers to make sure they are supporting clients in making an informed choice. This webinar will focus on the creativity needed to balance client needs, staff perspectives, company bottom line, liability, and the HCBS Settings Rule.

Lisa graduated from BYU with a B.S. in Psychology and has worked as a professional trainer, editor, curriculum designer, and author for more than 30 years. Her advocacy on disability issues began more than 20 years ago when her youngest child was diagnosed with autism. Since that time, she has served on several committees at both the district and state level regarding special education issues and has testified before the legislature on disability issues. She served as a parent partner in a pediatrician’s office and as a parent advocate with a group of medical professionals seeking to improve the healthcare system in Utah. She worked with Easter Seals on developing training for parents on the customized employment model. She currently works for the Utah Parent Center as a Person-Centered Planning and Special Project consultant. She is also a Charting the LifeCourse Ambassador. Her happy place is when she is surrounded by her children and grandchildren, preferably on a cruise ship or a vacation destination.
