Lakshmi Vanderwerf is a staff attorney at the Disability Law Center, a nonprofit law office that enforces the legal rights of individuals living with disabilities. Lakshmi works in the area of employment, handling cases involving disability-based discrimination. This means her clients are job applicants with disabilities who face bias in the hiring process, workers who aren’t receiving reasonable accommodations for their disability, or workers who are illegally terminated based on their disability.
